Just as "FACEBOOK" has, HERE should have an "INVITE" link to bring MORE NEW FOLKS to "THE ZONE," which is DEFINITELY not to say that new people don't join, ALREADY, but it WOULD be nice to HAVE such; what do YOU think?
ANOTHER SUGGESTION, unless we already DO have, is that why not have an SMS feature that would allow those of us with cell phones to send and receive QUICKNOTES, BOARD-POST REPLIES, and PRIVATE MESSAGES?
I'm not sure about a "invite Friend" function cause that would be hard but I thought that might be handy when you're not talking with publics on but with Publics off, where instead of just messaging to one person, there could be a command like you select a user from the list, and then type /invite person or user and if he/she accepts then bingo!
As with the SMS thing I'm not sure how that would work, there's already a SMS gateway thing but I rarely use it.
The SMS thing would be more than a bit difficult to code, and since many people now have smartphones, not entirely necessary. I had a hard enough time keeping up with twitter by SMS when I had my LG.
If it were done, it would have to be very command based, even for private messaging users.
i do like the sound of the invite friends feature though.
not quite sure i can understand what you mean alex, but i'm sure a link could be introduced " invite friends", then you type the email address of the person and send it.
nice ideas alex, and, the invite friends thing is kind of cool or they can have a spot to copy and paste a message with a link to the register page like dropbox.
that would be kind of cool, kind of like facebook, you can post to it by other aps by #fb. or stuff like that or typing facebook, I think? or something like that. what would be cooler, is a phone system way to do it, you can call in and post on the boards, say this one, I could call a number it would read me the boards and then I could post it like some phone systems have it.
